Al Jolson’s famous song brings us a programme of popular music from the music hall and vaudeville stage extending into early Broadway musicals including selections from Jule Styne’s 1963 Funny Girl starring Barbara Streisand.

We present a concert of Edwardian favourites including The Teddy Bears Picnic, The Grasshoppers Dance, Fascination and In the Shade of the Palms. It’s the perfect repertoire for afternoon tea at the Empress Hotel. You will just have to imagine the cucumber sandwiches.
